Police Personnel Board
Minutes-May 2, 2019
The meeting was called to order at 12:03 p.m.
Nine persons attended as follows:

Following greetings, roll call was taken.
Approval of May 2, 2019 minutes
It was moved by Klindt and seconded by Scruggs that the minutes from January 3, 2019 Board meeting be
approved. The motion was carried unanimously.
New Business
Communications Operator and Police Officer Applicants - Lt. Stiefermann went over the results of the
testing that was completed in April, 2019 for Communications Operator and Police Officer.
17 applicants for P.O. tested and 11 of these applicants were qualified to move on to the physical fitness test.
10 applicants for C.O. tested and 9 of these applicants were qualified to move on to the next stage of hiring
process.
Begin Closed Session (see closed session for details)
A motion was made by Burton and seconded by Klindt to go into closed session at 12:07 p.m. for the Police
Personnel Board to go into closed session pursuant to RSMo.610.021 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri; the
motion passed.
Roll call was as follows:

End Closed Session
A motion was made by Klindt and seconded by Flieschmann to come out of closed session at 12:32 p.m. for
the Police Personnel Board to come out of closed session pursuant to RSMo.710.021 of the Revised Statutes
of Missouri; the motion passed.

Lt. Stiefermann gave an update on hiring process of the former employee, which is still ongoing. An update
of this process will be announced at the next board meeting.
Chief Schroeder discussed the current vacancies in the department; 1 Police Officer vacancy and 3
Communications Operator vacancies. The Oral Board interviews for these positions will start on May 13th.
Lt. Stiefermann reminded the board that they are welcome to sit in on these interviews.

It was moved by Fleischman and seconded by Scruggs for adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at
12:44 p.m.
