A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD TO APPROVE AN AGREEMENT ACQUIRING
CONSULTANT SERVICES ON A PART-TIME BASIS
IN SUPPORT OF THE CI'PY'S REHABILITATION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, a special monitoring review of the City's
Rehabilitation Program by HUD, has revealed that certain
inadequacies exist with the current program; and
"~" WHEREAS, HUD has placed the City's Rehabilitation
Program on suspension and recommended that it be revamped; and
1 WHEREAS, HUD further recommended that a consultant be
retained to assist the City's current staff in the performance of
the necessary regulations relative to procedure; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to bring its Rehabilitation
Program up to the standards required by HUD to remove the
suspension; and
WHEREAS, there is a current waiting list of properties
in the City of Lynwood that need inspection; and
WHEREAS, staff has met with representatives from HUD
and Willdan Associates to discuss the specific services necessary
to revamp the City's Rehabilitation Program; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Willdan
Associates is qualified to provide staff training in the City's
Rehabilitation Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
I SECTION 1. Approve and adopt the agreement between the
City of Lynwood and Willdan Associates to provide rehab.i.litaL'i.on
' training services on a part-time, per case basis in support of
the City's Rehabilitation Program.
SECTION 2. Authorize the Mayor to execute the attached
agreement.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 16th day of
October , 1990.
