APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT-
GENOVA BURNS & VERNOIA
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized legal services with regard
to various ongoing disciplinary and litigation matters; and
\VHEREAS, the law firm of Genova, Bums & Vemoia possess the requisite experience
and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
vVHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose.
NO\V, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Calieret that the law firm of Genova, Bums & Vemoia is hereby appointed special
labor counsel pursuant to the firm's existing contract with the Borough for a maximum
cost not to exceed $12,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this contract is awarded as a professional service
pursuant to NJ.S.A. 40A:11-2(6) and shall be advertised as may be required by law.
