A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE
CITY HALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM UPGRADE
THROUGH AN INFORMAL BID PROCESS
WHEREAS, the existing City Hall electrical system was
recently tested and found to be overloaded; and
WHEREAS, the overloading situation presents fire
hazards and causes shut down of various office equipments; and
WHEREAS, the the City Council desires to maintain and
operate all City facilities in a safe and efficient manner; and
WHEREAS, the upgrade cost is estimated at $12,000; and
WHEREAS, due the small size of the work, it can be
completed more economically and efficiently, if done through an
informal bid process; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, Council can authorize purchases through informal bids by a
4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, proclaim and resolve as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the City Hall electrical system upgrade can be
more economically and efficiently completed by an informal bid
procedure.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
November , 1990.
