A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ADOPT
THE URBAN WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN PREPARED BY
THE CENTRAL BASIN MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
WHEREAS, the Urban Water Management Planning Art
(AB 797), enacted in 1983, requires that all California Urban
Water Retailers supplying more than 3.0 acre-feet of water per
year or providing water to more than 3,000 customers develop an
Urban Water Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is subject to this
requirement; and
WHEREAS, the Central Basin Municipal Water District has
prepared its Urban Water Management Plan; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the Central Basin Municipal
Water District's Urban Water Management Plan and found it be
representative in background and direction that the City would
make in preparation of its own plan; and
WHEREAS, adoption of this plan would be both cost and
time effective.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
Section 1: That the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood
is hereby directed to give and post, as required by law, notice
r of the passage of this Resolution of Intention, and specify the
Il time and place of hearing of this Resolution of Intention, which
is hereby fixed as follows:
The hearing to be before the City Council of the City
of Lynwood, at 11330 Bullis Road, in the City Council Chambers of
the City Hall of said City of Lynwood, at the hour of 7:30 p.m.
on January 15, 1990, at which time and place all persons
interested may appear and object or protest to the proposed Urban
Management Water Plan.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of
December , 1990.
