A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING STAFF TO TEMPORARILY
TURN OFF THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT INTERSECTION
OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD AND WRIGHT
ROAD AND INSTALLING 4 WAY STOP SIGNS AT INTERSECTION
WHEREAS, the traffic signal at Martin Luther King Jr.
I
Boulevard and Wright Road is no longer warranted due to the ramp
closure of I-710 Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the intersection will be better served by
4-way stop signs; and
WHEREAS, the City will save $4,000 in electrical costs
by turning the signal off; and
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as
follows:
Section 1. That the traffic signal will be turned off
until such time as the Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard Freeway
ramps are reopened.
Section 2. That Resolution No. 67-9 be amended
to include the above-mentioned intersection as a "Stop"
intersection, and Traffic Engineer is authorized to erect 4-way
stop signs.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of
