HomeMy Public PortalAbout91-006 (01-15-91)RESOLUTION NO. 91-6 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ACCEPTING AN EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES ON LONG BEACH BOULEVARD (PROJECT: 12200 LONG BEACH BOULEVARD) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood has determined that the easement is necessary for the convenience, welfare, and safety of the public; and WHEREAS, per Site Plan Review, Case No. 88072, the project at 12200 Long Beach Boulevard was required to dedicate strips of land for street widening purposes; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the best interest of the City shall be served by the acceptance of said easement; and WHEREAS, street dedication at 12200 Long Beach Boulevard has been analyzed and approved by the City Engineer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF LYNWOOD AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council accepts the dedication of an easement for street purposes to the City of Lynwood, as offered for dedication, as described below: LEGAL DESCRIPTION THAT PORTION OF LOTS 861 and 862 OF TRACT NO. 3172, IN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA AS PER MAP RECORDED IN BOOK 32 PAGE 90 OF MAPS, IN THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY RECORDER OF SAID COUNTY. SAID PORTION BEING DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: BEGINNING AT THE SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER OF SAID LOT 862; THENCE ALONG THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 862, N 86°56'00"E, 10.00 FEET TO A LINE PARALLEL WITH AND 10.00'EAST OF THE WESTERLY LINES OF SAID LOTS 861 AND 862; THENCE ALONG SAID PARALLEL LINE N03 04'00"W, 83 FEET TO A POINT, SAID POINT BEING A DISTANT OF 12.00 FEET FROM THE INTERSECTION OF SAID PARALLEL LINE AND A LINE PARALLEL TO AND 5.00 FEET SOUTH OF THE NORTHERLY LINE OF SAID LOT 861; THENCE N41°56'00"E, 16.97 FEET TO A POINT OF SAID SOUTHERLY LINE, SAID POINT BEING A DISTANT OF 12.00 FEET EAST FROM SAID INTERSECTION; THENCE ALONG SAID SOUTHERLY LINE AND PARALLEL TO SAID NORTHERLY LINE, N86°56'00"E 113.00 FEET TO THE WESTERLY LINE OF 15 FEET WIDE ALLEY PER DEED RECORDED IN BOOK 11199 PAGE 82 OF OFFICIAL RECORDS; THENCE ALONG SAID WESTERLY LINE N03°04'00"W, 5.00 FEET TO THE SAID NORTHERLY LINE OF LOT 861, BEING ALSO THE SOUTHERLY LINE OF 40 FEET WIDE MAGNOLIA AVENUE AS SHOWN ON SAID TRACT NO. 3172; THENCE ALONG SAID NORTHERLY LINE S86°56'00"W, 135.00 FEET TO THE WESTERLY LINE OF SAID LOTS 861 AND 862, BEING ALSO THE EASTERLY LINE OF AN 80.00 FEET WIDE LONG BEACH BOULEVARD r AS SHOWN ON SAID TRACT NO. 3172; THENCE ALONG SAID WESTERLY LINE S03°04'00"E, 100.00 FEET TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. Assessor's Map No. 6175-022-013 Commonly known as: 12200 LONG BEACH BOULEVARD Section 2. That the above described easement has been offered for dedication to the City of Lynwood by Bixby Mall, a California Limited Partnership. C11-831 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this January , 1991.
