A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF
GRANT APPLICATION UNDER THE URBAN PARK
AND RECOVERY ACT OF 1978
Whereas, the Urban Park and Recreation Recovery Act of
1978 established a grant program to assist communities in
rehabilitation of park and recreation systems; and
Whereas, the City of Lynwood has been determined to apply
for said funds; and
Whereas, the Recreation and Parks Department is desirous
of applying for said competitive grant to rehabilitate the Teen
Resource Center; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Lynwood in the County of Los Angeles, 11330 Bullis Road,
Lynwood, California that the Director of Recreation and Parks
Department is authorized and directed to file this grant
application for two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000.00) to
rehabilitate the Teen Resource Center and to provide such
additional information as may be required with respect to the City
of Lynwood's participation in this program.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January 1991
