ORDINANCE NO. /5
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH COLE COUNTY
SETTING PROCEDURES FOR JOINT CITY AND COUNTY CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
SALES TAX PROJECTS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute a supplemental agreement with Cole County for the East High Street
Improvements Project.
Section 2. The agreement shall be substantially the same in form and content as
that agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.

Supplemental Agreement for the
E. High Street Curb and Sidewalk
Joint City and County Capital Improvements Sales Tax Project
WHEREAS, the City of Jefferson, Missouri hereinafter called "City" and the County of
Cole, Missouri hereinafter called "County" signed an agreement setting forth procedures
for joint City and County Capital Improvements Sales Tax Projects hereinafter called
"Contract" on November 7, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the City and County wish to amend the Contract by striking clause 3 and
replacing it as follows:
3. Financial Contributions: The base bid as bid price of $1,933,074 shall be
shared evenly by each party. The County shall remit its $966,537 share to the
City no more than 60 days following the signing of this agreement. The City shall
be responsible for all other project costs including but not limited to project
overruns and change orders.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this agreement to be executed
on the day and year indicated below.

I certify that there is a balance otherwise unencumbered to
the credit of the appropriation to which it is to be charged
and a cash balance otherwise unencumbered in the treasury
to the credit of the fund from which payment is to be incurred.
This funding is subject to accounting officer certification in
2017 after appropriation and encumbrance.
