A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE THROUGH AN
INFORMAL BID OF ONE (1) COMPACT PICK-UP TRUCK
WHEREAS, the City Council on November 20, 1990, adopted
Resolution No. 90-199, authorizing the purchase a compact sedan
~, and the necessary radio equipment for the Code Enforcement
Division, and appropriated $11,000 for this purchase; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Community Development has
requested that a compact pick-up truck be purchased instead of a
compact sedan, due to the pick-up truck versatility; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to provide Staff with
the necessary and proper vehicles and equipment to serve the
community; and
WHEREAS, this vehicle purchase can be more economically
and efficiently effected if done through an informal bid; and
WHEREAS, under Section 6-3.13 of the Lynwood Municipal
Code, City Council can authorize purchases through informal bids
by a 4/5 vote.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council does hereby resolve, order,
and determine as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that a compact pick-up truck be purchased for the Code
Enforcement Division, and this can be more efficiently and
economically effected by an informal bid procedure.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect
immediately upon its adoption.
