HomeMy Public PortalAbout023-2001 - Grant - IN Criminal Justices Institute's Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Competition Grant Program ORDINANCE NO. 23 - 2001 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICES INSTITUTE’S JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT COMPETITIVE GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to assist with the costs associated with expenses related to the Community in Schools (CIS) program currently being developed in our community. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute’s Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Competitive Program to assist with the costs associated with expenses related to the (CIS) program. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). 3. Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated for assistance with the costs associated with expenses related to the (CIS) program.
