A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AWARDING A CONTRACT TO THE LOWEST BIDDER,
DENARDI CORPORATION, IN THE AMOUNT OF $48,980.14
FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE ARTICULATED FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE
LOADER AND AUTHORIZE THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS FOR
AN ENGINE DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE

WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood solicited bids for the
purchase of one Articulated Four-Wheel-Drive Loader; and
WHEREAS, the bid opening was held on March 7, 1991; and
WHEREAS, the City's needs would best be met by the
combination of a four-in-one bucket and hydraulic quick coupler
disconnect system; and
WHEREAS, Denardi Corporation was the lowest bidder with
a bid of $48,980.14; and
WHEREAS, the proposed vehicle by Denardi Corporation
meets all desired specifications and City's needs with a good
industry reputation.
WHEREAS, an engine diagnostic machine is necessary to
properly tune up and diagnose vehicles equipped with electronic
equipments and exhaust emission control devices; and
WHEREAS, $16,019.86 are left over from the budgeted
amount of $65,000 for the loader purchase, and this amount can be
used for the purchase of the engine diagnostic machine.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
does hereby find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That a contract for the purchase of one
Articulated Four-Wheel-Drive Loader be awarded to Denardi
Corporation for their bid of $48,980.14.
Section 2. That staff is authorized to advertize for
bids for the purchase of one engine diagnostic machine.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of
March , 1991.
