HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 84-2296 County Solid Waste Management Plan - Nonhazardous Waste Element1 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 84 -2296 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY CONCURRING IN THE COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN - NONHAZARDOUS WASTE ELEMENT. FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the State Solid Waste Management and Resource Recovery Act of 1972 requires preparation of a County Solid Waste Management Plan and updating of the Plan every three years; and, WHEREAS, the California Waste Management Board approved the Los Angeles County Solid Waste Management Plan on December 16, 1977, as meeting the requirements of Section 66780, Title 7.3 of the Government Code; and, WHEREAS, since adoption and implementation of the Plan, a number of changes have occurred which would warrant a comprehensive update of the current plan elements; and, WHEREAS, update of the County Solid Waste Management Plan, Non- hazardous Waste Element, has been completed by the County Solid Waste Management Committee; and, WHEREAS, the Updated Plan, Nonhazardous Waste Element, is subject to the approval by the majority of the cities within the incorporated area of the County; and, WHEREAS, the Updated Plan, Nonhazardous Waste Element, was sub- mitted to the City of Temple City for approval; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Temple City approves the Updated Plan, Nonhazardous Waste Element. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1984.
