Portion of South King Street to Close in Conjunction with
Leesburg’s Sidewalk Dining Program and First Friday Event
Motorists should expect delays and use alternate routes.
Leesburg, VA (June 25, 2021) – Leesburg First Friday will return to downtown Leesburg on
Friday, July 2. The event, hosted by the Leesburg Downtown Business Association (LDBA), has
been on-hold, since March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over 22 live musical
performances, eight art displays, and more are posted for next week’s event.
Leesburg First Friday will be held in conjunction with the Town’s Sidewalk Dining program,
which offers restaurants, located between Market and Loudoun streets, the ability to expand
their outdoor seating for diners. As a result, the roadway will be closed to allow easy pedestrian
access.
The road closure is expected to take place between 3:30 to 10 p.m. Motorists should expect
delays and use alternate routes until the road has been reopened to the public. For more
information, visit www.facebook.com/LeesburgFirstFriday.
