Nighttime Lane Closures on Battlefield Parkway and Route 7
Planned Through October
Drivers should expect periodic traffic pattern changes due to the on-going work
on the new interchange.
Leesburg, VA (July 27, 2021) – As part of the Route 7/Battlefield Parkway interchange
construction, periodic night work will be taking place on both Battlefield Parkway and Route 7
over the next several months. This work will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through
Thursday nights. There will be no night work on Friday and Saturday nights.
The work involves the installation of traffic signal loops, paving, and pavement markings and
will require temporary lane closures. Drivers should use caution when traveling through the
area and follow directional signage.
The Route 7/Battlefield Parkway interchange construction is expected to be completed later
