Traffic and On-Street Parking Disruptions in Downtown
Leesburg 6:30am to 9:00am on Thursday November 5, 2015
New Revolutionary War Patriot statue will be delivered and placed on the
Loudoun County Courthouse lawn.
Leesburg, VA (November 4, 2015) – On Thursday, November 5, 2015, from 6:30am to 9:00am,
traffic in downtown Leesburg, in the vicinity of the Loudoun County Courthouse, will be
disrupted during the delivery of the new Revolutionary War Patriot statue to the Loudoun
County Courthouse lawn.
The statue delivery will involve parking a flat-bed trailer on North King Street adjacent to the
Law Library. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained except for short periods of time while
equipment and crates are unloaded. There will be no on-street parking on North King Street
from Market Street to Cornwall Street from 6:00am on Monday until the delivery operation is
complete. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution and follow police direction.
The new statue will be dedicated in a ceremony at 12:00pm on Veterans Day, Wednesday,
