Call to Order
Mary Schantz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Adoption of Agenda
Mr. Wheat moved and Mr. Hoffman seconded to adopt the agenda as printed. The motion passed
unanimously.
Approval of Minutes
Ms. Deetz moved and Mr. Wheat seconded to approve the minutes from the December 10, 2019
Regular Meeting as written. The motion passed unanimously.
Communication Received
Ms. Senzee stated that no communications have been received.
New Business
A. Call for Landmark Applications
Ms. Senzee explained that applications are due February 28. The Commission will review the
applications at their March 10 meeting. The City Council will designate awardees at their March or April
meeting. The awards will be presented to property owners during Preservation Month.
B. Preservation Month Activities
Ms. Abbott suggested to delay the Historic Preservation Commission’s activities to coincide with the
Missouri Preservation Conference being held in Jefferson City in early June. She encouraged
Commission Members to suggest activities and participate in Preservation Month.
Ms. Deetz moved and Mr. Hoffman seconded to form a subcommittee to be appointed from the
Historic Preservation Commission to work with staff and bring back a p lan for Preservation Month at the
February meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
C. West Main Street Historic Resources Survey
Ms. Senzee explained that she will contact West School to hold a public meeting in early April that
would include the Circle Drive area, Hayselton Drive, the lower blocks of Boonville Road and Forest Hill
Drive. At this neighborhood meeting staff will discuss the findings from the survey and facilitate a
discussion of what they want to pursue.

Other Business
A. Dangerous Building Determinations
Ms. Abbott stated that the properties located at 1415 E. Ashley Street; 415 Stadium Boulevard; 420
Union Street; 421 Union Street; 425 Case Avenue; 425 Union Street; 902 Jackson Street and 914
Jackson Street have been determined as dangerous by the Building Official. These properties were
impacted by the May 22, 2019 EF-3 tornado.
B. National Park Service Training –. Members had a brief discussion about the National Park Service
Online Training – Incentives: a Guide to the Historic Preservation Tax Incentive Program .
