CITY COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, FEBRUARY 3, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the February 3, 2020 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:45
P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather, Schreiber, and
Ward
Absent: Graham and Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilman Hussey will lead the prayer.
Amending the Agenda
- Mayor Tergin will request a motion to amend the agenda, adding items 4 (b.), (c.),
(d), and (e). Canine Officer Drax and his handler, Officer Gash will be at the meeting.
Capitol Police Chief Zim Schwartze will be introduced as well as Animal Shelter
Manager Lori Blatter. A Chiefs Day proclamation will also be presented in honor of
their Superbowl championship title.
Councilman Graham and Councilwoman Wiseman arrived at the meeting at 5:47 p.m.
Consent Agenda
- Councilman Mihalevich questioned why item (b.) Acceptance of $236,000 bid f rom
Evoqua Water Technologies for odor control was on the consent agenda, and not a
bill introduced. He will bring up the question in the City Council meeting.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff provided a summary of their respective bills introduced. A request will be
made to suspend the rules for bill 2019-099 related to the airport terminal demolition.
Bills Pending
- City Staff provided a summary on their respective pending bills.

The meeting adjourned at 5:57 P.M.
