HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 84-23081 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 84 -2308 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has by Resolution No. 84 -1146 PC, determined that a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends abate- ment thereof; and WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with re- spect to time in which to abate the nuisance. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as 9649 Longden Avenue, City of Temple City, California, and more particu- larly described as portion of Lot 1, Tract 33529,'M.B. 894, p. 100 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in the following particulars: A. Premises maintained so as to constitute a fire hazard by reason of woods, rank overgrowth or accumulation of debris. Section 4230(d) B. Dead trees, weeds and debris (1) constituting unsightly appearance, or (2) dangerous to public safety and welfare, or (3) detrimental to nearby property or property values. Section 4230 (i) C. Maintenance of premises in such condition as to be detrimental to the public health, safety or general welfare or in such manners as to constitute a public nuisance as defined by Civil Code 3480. Section 4230(r) SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance within 30 days by the following methods: A. Removal of overgrowth from all yard areas to the satisfaction of the Planning Director. B. Painting of the structures. C. Removal of inoperative vehicle. SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expira- tion of 30 days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private con- tractor pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of September 1984.
