A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIi_ OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION TRANSFER OF TWENTY THOUSAND
DOLLAKS ($20,000) FKOM THE STREET IMPKOVEMENTS - SAN LUIS
AVENUE PROJECT TO THE BATEMAN HALL REROOFING PROJECT
6dHEREAS, the City Council on February 21, 1984 approved the specifica-
tions forthe Batemen Hall Reroofing Project and authorized the advertising for
bids; and
WHEREAS, during the bidding process, it was determined that addi-
tional areas of the roof are in need of repair and a Deductive Alternate was
issued to include sa me; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project cost has increased because a Deductive
Alternate Addendum has been issued and Preliminary Engineering, Construction
Engineering, and contingencies costs were added; and
WHEREAS, bids were received and opened on March 9, 1984, the apparent
low bid was within plus or minus 10 percent of the engineer's estimate, and it
is more cost effective for the City to re roof the entire Bateman Hall building
now; and
WHEREAS, funds are now available to defray the cost of the Deductive
Alternate, Preliminary Engineering, Construction Engineering, and contingencies.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of .Lynwood does hereby
find, determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City Manager is authorized to make the following
appropriation transfer.'

Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of March 1984.
