A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR
POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF
Whereas, The City recognizes, that Police protection is necessary and, currently, the -
City of Tiffin does not have their own Police protection and;
Whereas the City Council of the City of Tiffin recognizes that we have previously
contracted with the Johnson County Sherriff's'office to handle the City's policy
protection;
Now, therefore be it resolved by the"City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
the Mayor and City Administrator/Clerk to sign the contract for FY2016 in the amount of
$71,422.00 for police services.
On the 8th day of April, 2015 at a"regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Ryan introduced Resolution No. 2015-047, A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN
CONTRACTS FOR POLICE SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF
and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler.
Ayes: Joann Kahler, Mike Ryan, Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens
Nays: none
Absent: none
Whereupon five Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner
declared that the Resolution No. 2015-047, A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR/CLERK TO SIGN CONTRACTS FOR POLICE
SERVICES WITH JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF to be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
