A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE, AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has
Iby Resolution No. 84 -1154 PC, determined that a public nuisance as de-
fined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends
abatement thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with
respect to time in which to abate the nuisance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal
Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as
5702 Rowland Avenue, City of Temple City, California, and more particu-
larly described as portion of Lot 422, Tract 6561, M.B. 72, p. 34 -5 of
Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State
of California, in the following particulars:
A. Premises maintained so as to constitute a fire hazard by
reason of woods, rank overgrowth or accumulation of debris.
Section 4230(d)
B. Overgrown vegetation (1) likely to harbor rats, vermin and
other nuisances or (2) causing detriment to neighboring
properties or property values. Section 4230.(h)
C. Garbage cans stored in front or sideyards and visible from
public streets. Section 4230(o)
D. Property maintained in such condition as to become so defective,
unsightly or in such condition of deterioration or disrepair
that the same causes depreciable diminution of the property
values of surrounding properties or is materially detrimental
to nearby properties and improvements. Section 4230(s)
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance
within the time and method as follows:
A. Clearance of overgrowth of vegetation from yard areas.
B. Removal of trash cans from street view, except on pickup days.
C. Removal of debris from yard areas.
D. Elimination of stagnant water.
E. Repair of fence.
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expiration
of 30 days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause
said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor
pursuant to the Municipal Code.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of
this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises purusant to
the Municipal Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
