Leesburg Trash & Recycling Collection Schedule Changes for
Christmas Holiday
Leesburg, VA (December 15, 2015) – There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste collection
in the Town of Leesburg on Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, 2015.
Residential customers in the Northeast and Northwest quadrants of Town (including North King
Street), who normally have trash, recycling and yard waste collected on Fridays, will have those
items collected on Saturday, December 26, 2015. Bulk items will also be collected on Saturday,
December 26. Requests for bulk item collections must be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday,
December 23.
For residential customers in the Southeast and Southwest quadrants of Town (including South
King and West Market Streets), there are no changes to trash, recycling, yard waste or bulk
item collection. All of these items will be collected on Thursday, December 24, as usual.
Requests for bulk item collections must be submitted by 12 noon on Wednesday, December 23.
For curbside commercial customers, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Christmas
Day, Friday, December 25, 2015. Trash and recycling will be collected for curbside commercial
customers on Saturday, December 26, 2015.
The Department of Public Works & Capital Projects offers automatic email notifications of
changes to trash and recycling collection schedules. Residents can sign up to receive these
notifications at www.leesburgva.gov/trash.
The Leesburg Town Offices will close at noon on Thursday, December 24, and will be closed on
Friday, December 25, and Monday, December 28, 2015, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
