Town of L. laid over until next Meeting Bond accompanying application of Antone Verisimo for a liquor license was rejected one of the bonds- men not being approved by the board. Communication was read from F. A. Anthony. requested that planking of Lizzie st crossing near his store be removed referred to Marshal. complaint was again made of the obstructon of the side walk in the West side of J street referred to Street Committee and Marshal Adjourned C Attest . M. president Pitcher presiding Absent Trustee Beazel Minutes of meeting of Jan 10-91= read and approved. Reports of Clerk and Marshal were read and ordered filed. Trustee Hunter of street Committee reported they had made arrangement to have the mud and slush on first street removed as soon as street was in condition to be worked Also reported a scarcity of gravel for street street purposes Clerk reported they he had written the rail road C o regarding Front street crossing and had received no reply. Charge the Town for water for Fire and Munici- pal. purposes at the rate of # 100.00 per mouth. order filed referred to Fire Com' and Chief Eng' Chief Engineer Schaffer reported the Hydrant C at MLeod corner. as being out of order and of no use in case of a fire, and recommend it be fixed. Mr Gamee appeared before the board and stated when it rained the first st was in a bad condition from the mud and slush after a heavy rain and asked that the board take action to have it cleaned. Ordinance Committee reported draft of a proposed Ordinance Amending Ordinance No 56 and regulating License Hay storage. Street Committee reported having the Mud and Slush removed from First St. purchasing two Lots in the Northern Addition from W. P. Bartlett. and that R. R. Co had placed a Culvert at the Front St. crossing. Following Bills were examined and approved by the Finance Committee allowed by the board. and warrants ordered drawn for the several amounts. J. H. J. Jackson and P. L. Levy for liquor licenses C Trustee MLeod seconded by Trustee Callaghan offered the following Resolution Viz Resolved that the applications of R. J. Jackson and P. L. Levy for Liquor license to sell liquor the building located and particularly described in the applications of the above named now on file in the Office of the Town Clerk.. is hereby granted and the Town Clerk authorized to issue the Licenses adopted by following Vote. Minutes of meetings of March 2nd. and March 15th read and approved as read Reports of Clerk and Marshal read and ordered filed Matter of communication from John Aylward regarding use of water by the Town for Fire purposes was referred to a committee of the whole to confer with Mr Aylward Trustee Hunter of street committee reported the hauling of gravel from the Pit on the streets in different parts of Town Following Bills were examined and approved by the Finance Committee allowed by the board, and Warrants ordered drawn for the several amounts. On Motion it was ordered that the Clerk and prepare and have published the usual Election Pro- clamation called of Election to be held. The 2nd Monday in May to elect 5 Trustees (1) Marshal and 1 Assessor. On Motion it was ordered that the Town be di- vided in to two (2) election Precincts. and that the Precinct lines and boundaries as laid out by Board of supervisors for last state election be adopted. it was also ordered that the poling places be as follows for Precinct No 1 at Town Hall and for Precinct No 2= at Town Clerk Office Bond accompanying application of L. E. Berton for liquor license and application was referred to Ordinance Committee. On Motion it was ordered that the Clerk publish Notice Inviting sealed proposals, to Light the Town of Livermore for a period of 5 years. The call for bids for electric Light to stipulate that there be 11 or more Lights of of a candle power of 2000 Candle power Ohms each. Etc and in that for gas to be for 40 or more Lights of 4 ft Burners 16 Candle power. Gas Co to Furnish Poles Etc. and two weeks time in which to advertise Adjourned. . C Attest. Trustee Beazel in the chair in the absence of Chairman Pitcher Chair stated object of the meeting as being to receive bids for the lighting of the streets. as per resolution passed by the board at regular meeting of Apr 6th and any other business that might come before the board. Bond accompanying the application of Manuel B Brown for a liquor license was approved and application re- ferred to Ordinance committee The following bids, to light the streets for a period of 5 years was received. Taken under advisement and referred to the a Committee of the whole and final action to be taken on the several bids on Monday April 27th over from Livermore Gas Co to furnish 44 Lights as 00 per schedule for the sum of #100. per Month and #2.50 additional for each additional light. from John Aylward. to furnish 40 Incandescent lights of 25 16 Candle power each for the sum of #60.00 per Month To furnish 40 Incandescent Lights of 25 Candle power # each for the sum of 70.00 per Month/ To furnish 40 Incandescent Lights of 32 Candle Power. 00 each for the sum of #90. To furnish Eleven Are Lights of 2000 Candle Power each 00 for the sum of #121. per Month and additional Lights at the same rate. from Jacob Hanna to furnish Eleven Arc' Lights of 2000 00 Candle Power each for the sum of #110. per Month and additional Lights at the same rate. Trustee Beazel in the Chair at request of President Pitcher Chairman stated object of the meeting as being to take final action on bids for lighting the streets received at last meeting of the board. and any other business that may come up. Ordinance committee reported favorable on applica- tions of L. E. Berton and Manuel B. Brown. for a liquor license. Trustee Callaghan seconded by C Trustee MLeod offered the following Resolution Viz Resolved That the applications of L. E. Berton and Manuel B. Brown to do a retail liquor business The building located and particularly described in the applications of the above named now on file in the office of the Town Clerk is hereby granted per above resolution. President Pitcher presiding stated object of meeting as being to take final action in matter of Electric Light contract let to Jacob Hanna Contract and Bond of Jacob Hanna with town of Livermore to furnish 11 arc Lights for a period of 5 years from the 00 1st day of May 1891= at #110. per Month # 10.00 per additional Light was accepted and ordered filed By following Vote C Ayes Pitcher Beazel. On Motion it was ordered that an assessment be made of the Real & Personal property of the Town of Livermore for the fiscal year 1891-92 it was further ordered that the assessor procure the neccessary Books & blanks and proceed to make the assessment Roll Adjourned .
