The Street Com' reported the neccessity
of a Culvert under the rail road track at the
Front Street crossing The matter was referred
to street Com' with power to act in the matter
and the Clerk instructed to request the R R Co to
have said Culvert placed in
Communication and telegram was read from W. F Laumeister
regarding Warrant of Electric Co for December
Mr Laumeister being present explained the matter
at length and with drew the communication.

laid over until next Meeting
Bond accompanying application of Antone Verisimo
for a liquor license was rejected one of the bonds-
men not being approved by the board.
Communication was read from F. A. Anthony. requested
that planking of Lizzie st crossing near his store
be removed referred to Marshal.
complaint was again made of the obstructon of the
side walk in the West side of J street
referred to Street Committee and Marshal

Reports of Clerk and Marshal were read and
ordered filed.
Trustee Hunter of street Committee reported they
had made arrangement to have the mud
and slush on first street removed as soon as
street was in condition to be worked
Also reported a scarcity of gravel for street
street purposes
Clerk reported they he had written the rail road

no reply.

Chief Engineer Schaffer reported the Hydrant

at MLeod corner. as being out of order and of
no use in case of a fire, and recommend
it be fixed.
Mr Gamee appeared before the board and stated
when it rained the first st was in a bad
condition from the mud and slush after a heavy
rain and asked that the board take action to
have it cleaned.

Matter of communication from John Aylward
regarding use of water by the Town for Fire purposes
was referred to a committee of the whole to confer
with Mr Aylward
Trustee Hunter of street committee reported the hauling
of gravel from the Pit on the streets in different
parts of Town

Matter of changing Sec 5 of Ordinance No 56 was
referred to Ordinance Committee.
On Motion it was ordered that the Clerk and
prepare and have published the usual Election Pro-
clamation called of Election to be held. The 2nd
Monday in May to elect 5 Trustees (1) Marshal
and 1 Assessor.
On Motion it was ordered that the Town be di-
vided in to two (2) election Precincts. and that
the Precinct lines and boundaries as laid out by Board of
supervisors for last state election be adopted.
it was also ordered that the poling places be as
follows for Precinct No 1 at Town Hall and for
Precinct No 2= at Town Clerk Office
Bond accompanying application of L. E. Berton for liquor license
and application was referred to Ordinance Committee.
On Motion it was ordered that the Clerk publish Notice
Inviting sealed proposals, to Light the Town of
Livermore for a period of 5 years.
The call for bids for electric Light to stipulate
that there be 11 or more Lights of of a candle
power of 2000 Candle power Ohms each. Etc
and in that for gas to be for 40 or more Lights
of 4 ft Burners 16 Candle power. Gas Co to Furnish
Poles Etc. and two weeks time in which to advertise
Adjourned. .

as per resolution passed by the board at regular
meeting of Apr 6th and any other business that might
come before the board.
Bond accompanying the application of Manuel B Brown
for a liquor license was approved and application re-
ferred to Ordinance committee
The following bids, to light the streets for a period
of 5 years was received. Taken under advisement
and referred to the a Committee of the whole and final
action to be taken on the several bids on Monday

and took their seats

organize by the election of James Beazel as
permanent Chairman

Howard Paget by a unanimous vote of the
board was elected Chief Engineer of the Fire
Department for the ensueing year.
On Motion it was ordered that an assessment
be made of the Real & Personal property of
the Town of Livermore for the fiscal year 1891-92
it was further ordered that the assessor
procure the neccessary Books & blanks and proceed
to make the assessment Roll

made with him he would would disconnect

The Bill of John Aylward for Water for
Fire purposes (14 Hydrants) again brought up
The matter of the condition of the Hydrants

at MLeod Corner and the one at intersection of
J. and 5th street Chief Engineer Paget being
present matter was referred to him he stated

that the Hydrant at MLeod Corner was useless
for fire purpose in its present condition. but that
the one at 5th & J st was a good Hydrant and
in good condition but in his opinion the mains attached
to the Hydrant were not large enough to supply
the Fire Engine matter was again referred to
the Fire Committee Mr Fassett appeared before
the board and asked them intention regarding the
placing of a Hydrant at 6th and M. st
Members of board stated it would be impossible for
the to put in a Hydrant in that location until
such time as Water mains were extended farther in that
Mr Aylward Stated his company intended to
extend the mains in that vacinity in a short
time action was in the matter was deferred until
such as mains were laid
Bonds accompanying application of
John Moy. Marco Bonnetti Fred Mally, Chas Raboli
& P. Catanich were examined and approved by
the board, and the several applications referred
to Ordinance Committee.
On Motion it was ordered that License No 244
(Theater) 8.50 and License No 226 J #4.00 Drayage
issued to City Transfer Co be rebated
Mr Fasset stated that Livermore School
District would require to use of Town Hall
about one month longer

Bills of Chas S. Laumeister 110.00 Electric Light and #20. for
water for Fire purposes was laid over investigation
complaint being made that Electric Lights were not
up to the standard.
Chief Engineer Paget was requested to give the
Fire Engine a thorough overhauling and to place it
in first class shape

Trustee MLeod stated that Fire Department as at
present constituted was not entirely satisfactory and
suggested that some change should be made matter
was discused but no action taken
Chief Engineer Paget stated that 300 feet of new
hose was neccessary for use of Fire Department.
Matter of advertising for bids to do the Town printing
for ensuing year was laid over.
Town Clerk stated he had received from Town
Assessor Wright Assessment Toll for ensuing year

Clerk was instructed to notify Chief Engineer
Paget to test the Water supply of the Livermore
Deep Well water Co as regards supplying the
Engine with water.
Ordinance Com' reported favorably on applications
of C.V. Mendenhall, Chas Raboli, March Bonitte and
Fred Malley Beu Walter & Silva & Rose for
a liquor license
Trustee Gardemyer seconded by Trustee Wilkinson
offered the following Resolution. Viz.
Resolved that the applications of C. V. Men-
denhall, Marco Bonnitti. Chas Raboli. Fred Malley
Beu Walters &Silva & Rose for permission to obtain
a Retail Liquor license to sell liquors in the sev-
eral buildings located and particularly described
in the several applications of the above named
now on file in the office of the Town Clerk is hereby
granted. & The Town Clerk ordered to issue the li-
cense as per this Resolution passed by the following vote

on Motion it was ordered that a committee of one
be appointed to go to San Fran and inquire into
the qualities of the new Chemical Fire Engine

Chief Engineer Paget stated he had test Hydrants
attached to mains of L.D.W.Co and found a
sufficient supply at Water
On Motion it was ordered that all gravel used by
school Trustees of L.SD for use on school yard be
charged at rate of 10 cents per load
and Marshal was given full power in the matter

an opinion, regarding collection of Taxes
