HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 85-23351 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 35 -2335 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Temple City has, by Resolution No 85- 1163P0, determined that a public nuisance as defined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends abatement thereof; and WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with re- spect to time in which to abate the nuisance. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as 4834 Arden Drive, City of Temple City, California, and more particularly de- scribed as Lot 11, Tract 15098, MB 330, pp. 41 -42 of Maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in the following particulars: A. Dead trees, weeds and debris constituting unsightly appearance or dangerous to the public safety and welfare or detrimental to nearby property or property values - Section 4230(L). B. Garbage cans stored in front or side yards and visible from the public streets - Section 4230(0). C. Packing boxes or other debris stored in yards and visible from public streets for unreasonable periods of time (Section 4230(P). SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance with- in 30 days by the following methods: A. Removal of all accumulated plant debris from rear yard area. B. Removal and /or orderly storage of miscellaneous debris consist- ing of fencing, old tires, fertilizer bags and any other items in rear yard area. C. Removal of trash. cans and bags from southern side yard and street view. SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expiration of 30 days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of February, 1985.
