ESTABLISHING A RESERVE FUND FOR THE CARTERET VETERAN'S
AFFAIR COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has provided for the creation of the Carteret
Veteran's Affairs Committee; and
WHEREAS, The Borough of Carteret has duly appointed the members of the committee;
and
WHEREAS, this committee plans for the collection of funds (Donations) to be used for
the replacement, renovation, reconstruction and/or improvement to the Veteran's
Memorial Monument located in the Carteret Park; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Council dcsires that the fund be deposited with the Borough of
Carteret, accounted for and held in a non-spending reserve-balance sheet account, and,
when funds are requested to be uti1ized by recommendation of the Carteret Veteran's
Affairs Committee, the Chief Financi81 Officer is hereby directed to insert the revenues
collected into the Municipal budget am! offset t'1e related appropriation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that such fees (Donations) received by the
Borough are to be placed in a non-spending reserve-balance sheet account, dedicated for
the Carteret Veteran's Affairs Committee of the Borough of Carteret, County of
Middlesex, New Jersey.
