Leesburg Bulk Leaf Collection Ends for the Season During the
Week of December 28, 2015
After December 28, 2015, residents should bag leaves for pickup on regular yard
waste collection days.
Leesburg, VA (December 17, 2015) – The Town of Leesburg will conclude its annual fall bulk
leaf collection schedule during the week of December 28, 2015.
Residents should have leaves at the curb for collection by 6:00am on Monday, December 28,
2015. There will crews working in each quadrant of Town. All residences will receive leaf
collection by Thursday, December 31, 2015. However, there is not a set schedule to collect
leaves on a specific day for any particular street or neighborhood within a quadrant.
Residents are asked to follow these guidelines:
Do not rake leaves in front of storm drain inlets.
Rake leaves not more than four feet from the edge of the curb .
On streets without curb and gutter, place leaves as close as possible to the front
property line, closest to the street.
Do not park vehicles or place equipment or toys in or around the leaves.
Do not rake leaves in front of or around fire hydrants or utility boxes.
Do not mix grass clippings, yard waste or other brush items with the leaves.
After December 28, 2015, residents should place leaves in covered trash cans with handles or
biodegradable paper bags for pickup on their normal yard waste and recycling collection days
(Thursdays in the southeast and southwest quadrants; Fridays in the northeast and northwest
quadrants).
