AUTHORIZING AN EXTENSION OF THE LIST OF APPROVED
TOWERS FOR THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has adopted Ordinance No. 01-23 which
established new, comprehensive procedures for the approval and licensum of towing
operators within the Borough of Carteret; and
WHEREAS, the extensive nature of the change implemented by said Ordinance and
the issuance of new licensing forms required thereby have delayed the
implementation of this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, the Governing Body has previously amended the implementation date
of the new Towing Ordinance to begin on July 1, 2001; and
WHEREAS, the appropriate Borough Officials and/or Departments will not be able
to complete the mandated inspections and investigations of the applicants for a
towing operators license with sufficient lead time to allow the Council to establish a
new list of approved towers within the Borough by July 1,2001.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that the present list of towing operators is hereby approved and
extended until a new towing list can be approved pursuant to Ordinance No. 00-18.
