A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AGREEING TO CONTRIBUTE
SEVEN THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED THIRTY TWO
DOLLARS ($7,432) OF ITS PROPOSITION "A" -
LOCAL RETURN REVENUES TO THE COUNTY AS ITS
SHARE OF THE COST FOR ADDITIONAL SECURITY
SERVICES.
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood con-
tinually intends to support efforts to meet the transit needs of
the Second Supervisorial District; and
WHEREAS, The Southern California Rapid Transit District
is willing to provide additional transit security within the Second
Supervisorial District of Los Angeles County, including the cities
within that Supervisorial District providing the local agencies
finance the program; and
WHEREAS, The City agrees that there is a need for such
additional transit security and desires to participate in pro-
gram cost; and
WHEREAS, The County of Los Angeles proposes to enter into
an Agreement with the Southern California Rapid Transit District to
fund this program in the total amount of $266,200, with the under-
standing that certain cities will partially reimburse the County
with Proposition "A" funds:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
the City of Lynwood hereby agrees to contribute $7,432 of its Pro-
position "A" Local Return Revenues to the County as its share of
the program cost, and directs the City Treasurer to deposit the funds
with the County Road Department.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of June
1984.
