Leesburg Offers Christmas Tree Recycling to Town Residents
Leesburg, VA (December 29, 2015) – The Town of Leesburg’s solid waste collection contractor,
CSI, will collect non-artificial Christmas trees from residential customers as part of their regular
recycling collection on the following days:
Southeast & Southwest Quadrants Thursdays, January 7 & January 14
Northeast & Northwest Quadrants Fridays, January 8 & January 15
Please place Christmas trees at the curb before 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection and prepare
trees for collection using the following guidelines:
Remove all decorations from trees, including tinsel, angel hair and fake snow. Please
check carefully for items hidden behind thicker branches or limbs.
Remove all lights.
Remove all twine, string and metal or plastic ties.
Remove stands and bases.
Do not place in plastic or “Christmas Tree Disposal” bags.
Before January 7 and after January 15, Christmas trees with a trunk size of less than 6 inches in
diameter will be collected as part of the Town’s regular brush collection. Please follow the
above guidelines and place trees at curb by Monday evening.
