Everett Thies - Chairman protem Anne Dorweiler, Arnold Erdman, Ted Lockwood, Everett Thies and Tom Stevens present. The minutes of August 19, 1968 read. Moved by Arnold Erdman that the minutes be approved as read. Seconded by Ted Lockwood Motion carried. Duane Smith appeared with regard to getting a building permit on two acres which he has bought, the other 18 acres he has on contract for deed. Moved by Anne Dorweiler that we refer the problem of Duane Smith's property to the Council with the intention of getting a legal opinion from Mr. Gubbins on any possible problems involved in his request. Seconded by Ted Lockwood. Motion carried. Jerome Dickey appeared with regard to platting some of Lawrence Klaers' land. Moved by Tom Stevens that our suggestion to the Council on the addition to Loretto that on going into Medina all portions of the street in Medina will remain 60 feet as the rest of the Village. Seconded by Anne Dorweiler Motion carried. Don Des Lauriers wanted to know how some of his property is zoned. Moved by Ted Lockwood that the Planning Commission recommend to the Council that a multiple dwelling be allowed on Don Des Lauriers property which is zoned R-2 and RC. Seconded by Tom Stevens Motion carried. The Planning Commission is concerned about the many small parcels of land that will be sold or disposed of in the Hamel area when water and sewer go through. These parcdls of land now have metes and bounds descriptions and if they are to be sold, do they have to be platted? The Planning Commission would like to have a legal opinion. Studied the building permit fee schedule. Are to think it over until next meeting. Moved by Anne Dorweiler that we recommend that the Council authorize the building inspector to obtain professional assistance for the plumbing inspection of all large commercial and industrial buildings at #10.00 per inspection. Seconded by Ted Lockwood Motion carried. Moved by Anne Dorweiler that we recommend that the Council consider adding 10% of cost of the building permit on all permits in excess of ,100.00 to the building inspectorts fee. Seconded by Tom Stevens Motion carried. The Commission discussed plans for a Village Hall and appointed the following committee for studying plans for a new village hall: Tom Stevens, Chairman, Ted Lockwood, Rayburn Anderson, Russ Bouley, Gerald Dykhoff and Julius Dorweiler. Moved by Tom Stevens that the meeting adjourn. Seconded by Ted Lockwood. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P. M.
