A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE
OF CALTRANS SERVICE CONTRACT NO. 07A920
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONTINUING THE SPECIAL
I-105 CORRIDOR SECURITY PATROL AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, On September 4, 1979, the City Council author-
ized execution of a Service Contract with the California State De-
partment of Transportation in order to provide a special security
patrol in the I-105 Corridor in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, On June 30, 1984, the City's contract with the
State of California, Department of Transportation, for the con-
tinuance of the special security patrol expired; and
WHEREAS, The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department
has determined that it is vital to the security needs of Lynwood
corridor residents to maintain the present level of protection
offered by the special patrol; and
r^^ WHEREAS, On May 1, 1984, the Sheriff's Department staff

i } negotiated an Agreement to resume the corridor patrol:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood that Council does hereby accept Service Con-
tract No. 07A920, in order to continue the special security patrol
in the I-105 corridor in the City of Lynwood.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 17th day of
JuIY 1984.
