A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD DESIGNATING A REDEVELOPMENT SURVEY AREA
AND INSTKUCTING APPROPRIATE ENTITIES TU PREPARE
PROPER DOCUMENTS, PRELIMINARY PLANS, REPORTS AND
ENVIRONMENTAL CLEARANCES
WHEREAS, this City Council has heretofor designated various
portions of the city as redevelopment project areas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to consider studying
the feasibility of a redevelopment project in that area proposed for
annexation into the City, and designated as Annexation ~3.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby does find, determine, resolve, and order as follows:
Section 1. The area designated as Annexation #3 requires
study to determine if a redevelopment project or projects, in addition
to those projects heretofore approved, are feasible.
Section 2. There is hereby designated as a redevelopment
survey area pursuant to the provisions of the Health and Safety Code
Section 33310 an area described in Exhibit I legal description)
and Exhibit II (map) attached hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. That the City Council instructs the Redevelopment
Agency, Planning Commission, and Staff to initiate a preliminary plan,
report on plan, environmental documents, and any other required material
necessary for a redevelopment project. This action includes the

DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED "ANNEXATION N0. 3"
TO THE CITY OF LYNWOOD

Beginning at the intersection of the southerly prolongation
of the westerly line of Lot 11, Block E, of Watts Park Tract,
as shown on map recorded in Book 8, page 70, of Maps, in the
office of the Registrar-Recorder of the County of cos Angeles,
with the centerline of that certain Alley, 15 feet wide, as
shown on said map lying southerly of and adjoining said lot,
said intersection being an angle point in the boundary of the
City of Lynwood as same existed on June 1, 1984, said inter-
section also being a point in the boundary of the City of Los
Angeles as same existed on said date; thence southerly along
said last mentioned boundary to its intersection with the
centerline of Imperial Highway, as shown on said map, said
last mentioned also being an angle point in the boundary of
the City of Lynwood as same existed on said date; thence
easterly, northerly, westerly, northerly and westerly along
said last mentioned boundary to the point of beginning.
