HomeMy Public PortalAbout84-096 (08-07-84)RESOLUTION NO. 84-96 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYN[~OD APPFd~VING THE APPLICATION FOR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS AUTHORIZED UNDER SB 821 WiIEREAS, SB 821 provides that 20 of each County's total Local Transportation Fund be annually set aside and used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities; and WiE;REA.S, the City of Lynwood has adopted a Circulation Element to the General Plan of the City of Lynwood, which includes a Pedestrian Plan; and WfIEREE;AS, The City of Lynwood desired to construct wheel chair rates within their City utilizing the funds available under SB 821. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. To authorize the Director of Public 4Torks/City Engineer as the City's authorized signature and designated contract person; SECTION 2. To apply for all funds availabe to the City of Lynwood allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian Facilities. (SB 821). SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
