Oak Hills Advisory Committee Work Session
August 7, 2019
Call to Order
Committee Co-chair Stu Murphy called the meeting to order at Noon in the Oak Hills Clubhouse, 932
Ellis Boulevard.
Attendance
Committee members present were Committee Co-chair Stu Murphy, Joanne Scheperle, Bill Case, Mike
Roling, Leo Ahlers, Scott Englund, and Russell Rottmann. Staff present included JJ Gates, Amy Shaw,
Bryan Braun, and Stephanie Bruemmer.
Financial Report
JJ Gates presented the financial report. He stated this was as snapshot of the finances for the period
November 2018-July 2019. He stated current revenues are near $349,977 and expenses are near
$648,179. A light discussion ensued with no action taken.
Programming and Tournament 2019 Update
Stephanie Bruemmer stated that there were thirty-four adults who took lessons this year and that she
received many compliments on instructor Troy Pinkerton. Junior golf numbers were up for the year.
She stated that there were 130 junior golf participants. Bruemmer also reported that twenty
tournaments have been held and another thirteen as scheduled for the year. She stated that the
course is in great shape and thanked Bryan Braun and his staff for their excellent work.
Course/Maintenance Update
Bryan Braun provided a comprehensive written report for committee members. A copy of the report
was included as part of the meeting packet. Committee members thanked Bryan Braun for all his and
his staff’s efforts to keep the course looking great.
Golfer/Public Feedback
Leo Ahlers stated that the course is in great shape and that he and others have heard many
compliments.

Being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 12:35 p.m.
The next meeting date will be December 4, 2019 at Noon.
