A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OCUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE URBAN
COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A CON-
DITIONED COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY
~'^ OF LOS ANGELES
WfiEREAS, the City of Lynwood finds a need to parti-
cipate in the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood will receive CDBG funds
as necessary to accomplish certain permitted activities that
benefit the City, especially the low and moderate income, the
elderly and handicapped people of the Community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood has been notified of a
preliminary determination by the U. S. Department of Housing
and Urban Development (HUD) that the City is an entitlement
City under the CDBG Program,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does hereby find, determine, order and resolve as
follows:
Section 1. That the Mayor is authorized to sign the
attached conditional Cooperation Agreement with the_County of
Los Angeles for the accomplishment of the CDBG Program, subject
to termination by the City upon confirmation of its entitlement
status by HUD.
Section 1. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 9th day of
October 1984.
