ORDINANCE NO.37-2014
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF
A GRANT FROM THE REID FOUNDATION
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (1C) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or any
other source, and said documents are prepared and executed by the City executive
administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of Richmond as the
legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the appropriation of any
monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18; and
WHEREAS, The Reid Foundation has grant funding available through its "Reid Foundation
Grant" program and if said funds are awarded to the City, the Parks Department
wishes to use the grant to fund program support for the 2015 Just Us Kids Out
("JUKO") Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond Parks Department has submitted or will submit a grant
application to obtain funds for the 2015 JUKO Program held by the Parks
Department; and
WHEREAS, No local match is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, as follows:
I . The City of Richmond Parks Department has submitted or will submit, as authorized by
IC 36-1-4-10, a grant application to the Reid Foundation.
2. The City of Richmond Parks Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in
an amount up to Ten Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($10,000.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded, shall be appropriated to fund the 2015 JUKO Program held by
the Parks Department.

the City of Richmond, Indiana.
