THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 28, 2014
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday,
August 28, 2014, in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond,
Indiana.
President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted:
ROLL CALL
Present were: Vicki Robinson, Tony Foster and Dick Foore.
Also in attendance were Kim Vessels, Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns, Deputy City Clerk; Assistant
Fire Chief Tim Brown; Human Resources Sue Roberson; City Engineer Greg Stiens; and, Media.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Foore moved to approve the August 21, 2014 minutes, supported by Mr. Foster. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion carried.
APPROVAL OF MEMORANDUM OF EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mr. Foster moved to approve the Memorandum of the August 19, 2014 Executive Session, supported by
Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
None were presented.
REQUESTS
• FIRE DEPARTMENT
Requests approval to use Fire Department personnel and apparatus to participate in the "Fill the
Boot" Muscular Dystrophy Campaign

Mr. Foster moved to approve, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.

MISCELLANEOUS
• DISCIPLINARY EMPLOYMENT STATUS
Assistant Chief Brown presented a letter of resignation from Probationary Firefighter Adam Foster
effective immediately. Mr. Foster moved to accept, supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva
voce, the motion carried.
Mr. Foster moved to authorize Ms. Robinson to executive the response letter to Mr. Foster,
supported by Mr. Foore. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried.
ADJOURNMENT
After a motion was duly made, the meeting was adjourned.
