A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE
FORMATION OF UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 6
WHEREAS, Lynwood City Ordinance No. 848 establishes
a procedure for the creation of Underground Utility Districts,
and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required to ascertain
whether public necessity, health, safety, or welfare requires
the removal of poles, overhead wires and facilities for
supplying electric, communication, or similar or associated
service in any such district; and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that such an
Underground Utility District, herein after called District,
be formed on the full road easement width of Norton Avenue from
the east property line of San Luis Avenue continuing eastwards
on Imperial Highway to the west property line of Carson Drive.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Lynwood as follows:
1. Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will
be held by the City of Lynwood on December 4, 1984, at the hour
of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, Lynwood,
California, for the District hereinabove described..
2. At such hearing all persons interested shall be
given an opportunity to be heard. Said hearing may be continued
from time to time as may be determined by the City Council.
3. The City Clerk shall notify all affected property
owners as shown on the last equalized assessment roll and
utilities concerned of the time and place of such hearing by
mailing a copy of this resolution to such property owners and
utilities concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date
thereof.
4. The area proposed to be included in the District
is shown upon that certain map entitled "Proposed Underground
Utility District No. 6", dated October 26, 1984 which is on file
in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Lynwood.
5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of November
1984.
