A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
AN AMENDMENT OF THE S0U'1HEAST AREA ANIMAL CONTROL
JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the SOUTHEAST AREA ANIMAL CONTROL AUTIIORII'Y
has been established to provide animal control services and
has been providing animal control and related services to
this City for a number of years; and
GIHEREAS, this City is now a member of the SOUTHEAST
AREA ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY; and
WHEREAS, now that the SOUTHEAST AREA
AUTHORITY consists of seven member cities, it
to amend the Joint Powers Agreement to provide
annual operating and capital budget be adopted
(2/3) vote of its full membership, rather than

WHEREAS, at the October 18, 1984 meeting of the
SOUTHEAST AREA ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY all of the member
cities recommended that the Joint Powers Agreement be amended
to provide for the approval of the operating and capital budgets
by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership; and
WHEREAS, an Amended Joint Powers Agreement has been
prepared which incorporates the provisions of the previously
approved Joint Powers Agreement and provides for approval
of the operating and capital budgets by a two-thirds (2/3)
vote of the membership, and makes other non-substantive changes,
' and provides its execution by each of the present seven member
cities;
NOU1, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of
Lynwood does find, determine and declare as follows:
1. It does approve an Amendment to the Joint Pcwers
Agreement of the SOUTHEAST AREA ANIMAL CONTROL AUTHORITY to
provide for the approval of the operating and capital budgets
by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership;
2. It does approve the Joint Powers Agreement
presented to i.t and authorizes the Mayor to execute the same
and the City Clerk to attest to it.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 20th day of
