A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
APIENDING THE LAND USE ELETIENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO
CHANGE THE DESIGNATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN SAID RESOLUTION, FROM SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENTIAL TO TOWNHOUSE AND CLUSTER HOUSING, AND
DESIGNATED AS GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT N0. 84-3.

WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan for the City
of Lynwood was adopted by the City Council in April, 1977;
WHEREAS, said Land Use Element details seven (7) basic land
use designations within the City as illustrated on its General Plan Map;
WHEREAS, staff has recommended that portions of said General
Plan Map be amended so that it more closely conforms to existing land use,
and proposed future land use;
WHEREAS, the Land Use Element of the General Plan has been
amended this calendar year;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has approved and adopted a
resolution to the City Council to amend the Land Use Element of the General
Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does
hereby resolve as follows:
Section 1. A Negative Declaration has been prepared in connection
with this project. The Community Development Department found there were no
significant environmental effects;
Section 2. The findings and determinations of the Planning
Commission contained in Resolution No. 1030 are hereby confirmed ratified and
approved, and the General Plan is amended as set forth on Exhibits attached
hereto;
Section 3. The Negative Declaration is hereby approved and certified
to be adequate and accurate.
Section 4. This resolution shall be effective upon the date of
adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 18th day of December, 1984.
