HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 85-2356RESOLUTION NO, 85 -2356 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF. FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, of the City of Temple City has, by Resolution No, 85 ,.1182; determined that a public nuisance as de- fined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends abatement thereof; and WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with respect to time in which to abate the nuisance; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE: SECTION 1: That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal Code of the City of Temple City, exists on the; premises designated as 6123 Pliscatel, City of Temple City, California, and more particularly described as Tract 5904, Map Book 69, p. 29 of maps in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State of California, in the following particulars: A. Inoperative or abandoned motor vehicles stored for unreasonable periods of time in front and side yard areas which cause depreciation of nearby property values. 4230(k). B. Neglect of premises (1) to spite neighbors, or (2) influence zone change or (3) to cause detrimental effect upon nearby property or property values.4230(q), SECTION 2: The property owner is ordered to abate the nuisance within thirty (30) days by the following methods: A. Removal of vehicle from street view. B. Maintenance of yard areas and removal of miscellaneous debris from rear yard. Above to he abated within 30 days. C. Repair of substandard roof on main dwelling. To be abated by July 1, 1985. SECTION 3: If said abatement is not accomplished by the expiration of thirty (30), days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the Municipal Code. SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to the municipal Code. SECTION 5. The City Clerk . shall: certify to.the.adoptioni.of this. Resolution.
