RESOLUTION NO.2015-052
A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID PROCEDURES AND
APPROVING A QUOTE FOR CITY COMPUTER SYSTEM
TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa desires to improve its internet access to
the community for purposes of on-line bill payment, access to public documents and efficiencies in
constituent communication and internal operations efficiencies and computer system security; and,
WHEREAS,The City has an ongoing professional working relationship with McGladrey LLP,
Cedar Rapids for provision of maintenance, repair and improvements to its computer network, hardware
and software and therefore wishes to utilize the McGladrey LLP's Information Technology("IT")
expertise in obtaining and installing the most effective system at the lowest practical cost; and,
WHEREAS,McGladrey LLP has proposed"Infrastructure Upgrades,for Web Services"dated
April 14, 2015 in the amount of$30,090.00, which proposal is attached hereto and made a part of this:.
resolution and the City Council does accept this as the sole proposal due to McGladrey LLP's ongoing
professional working relationship with the City of Tiffin in the capacity of IT consultant:
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to
approve and accept the proposal entitled"Infrastructure Upgrades for Web Services"dated April 14, 2015
in the amount of$30,090.00 from McGladrey LLP, Cedar Rapids, and has authorized the Mayor to sign
and City Clerk to attest said proposal.
On the 22' day of April, 2015, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson Havens introduced Resolution No.2015-052,A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID
PROCEDURES AND APPROVING A QUOTE FOR CITY COMPUTER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY
IMPROVEMENTS and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Kahler .

PASSED: YES

Whereupon four Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor Berner declared that the •
Resolution No. 2015-052, A RESOLUTION WAIVING BID PROCEDURES AND APPROVING A
QUOTE FOR CITY COMPUTER SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY IMPROVEMENTS to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing His signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 22"d day of April, 2015.
