AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE INDIANA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Indiana Department of Environmental Management has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond desires to submit a grant application to install monitoring wells on the southeast aquifer per the guidelines set forth in revised Ordinance No. 33 – 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to install monitoring wells on the southeast aquifer per the guidelines set forth in revised Ordinance No. 33-1999.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Ninety-eight Thousand Three Hundred and Six Dollars ($98,306.00).
Said funds, if awarded to the City of Richmond, shall be appropriated to install monitoring wells on the southeast aquifer per the guidelines set forth in revised Ordinance No. 33-1999.
Passed and adopted this 12th day of February, 2001, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
