RESOLUTION NO. 85 -2357
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY DECLARING CERTAIN PREMISES TO BE A
PUBLIC NUISANCE AND ORDERING ABATEMENT THEREOF.
FOR THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE AS
FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Planning Coimuiision of the City of Temple City has,
by Resolution No. 85 -1183 PC, determined that a public nuisance as de-
fined in the Municipal Code, exists on certain premises and recommends
abatement thereof; and
WHEREAS, no appeal has been taken from said determination with
respect to time in which to abate the nusiance;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. That a public nuisance, as defined in the Municipal Code of the
City of Temple City, exists on the premises designated as 5562 Welland, City of
Temple City, California, and more particularly described as Tract 29825, Man Book
807, p. 42 of maps in the Office of the County Recorder, County of Los Angeles, State
of California, in the following particulars:
A. Overgrown vegetation (1) likely to harbor rats, vermin and other
nuisances, or (2) causing detriment to neighboring property or
property values. Section 4230 (h).
B. Maintenance of premises so out of harmony and conformity with the mainten-
ance standards of adjacent properties as to cause substantial diminution
of the enjoyment, use, or property values of such adjacent properties.
Section 4230 (t).
SECTION 2. The property owner is ordered to abate the,nuisance within thirty
(30) days by the following methods:
A. Removal of overgrown vegetation and overheight hedges.
B. Removal of miscellaneous debris from all yard areas
SECTION 3. If said abatement is not accomplished by the expiration of thirty
(30) days, the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to cause said public
nuisance to be abated by City forces or private contractor pursuant to the Municipal
Code.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be served on the owner of said premises pursuant to the Municipal_ Code.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.

on the 7th day of May, 1985 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen - Atkins, Swain, Tyrell, Dennis
