WHEREAS, The City Cauncil in .Lune, 1484, adapted the
trudget. far fiscal year 1984-85;and
WHEREAS, The Le Sage Street Reconstruction Pra~ect No.
-,[tJ.-~q vras budgeted for ane hundred and fifty thausand dalPars
{S].;~tt, t:p[jy q and
WHEFEAS, The project was expanded to encompass ~iti~en
requests for additional Le Sage Street improvements; and
WHEREAS, Larger street trees, than were originally
planned, were selected tar rep3.anting along Le 8<.+ge Streetq and
WHEREAS, The City Council. an tdavember :'tF, 19Et4,
appro~~ed the plans and specifications for the prosect and
authorized advertising far bids; and
WHEREAS, (additional funds are required to cover t!-,e
expanded project; and
WHEREAS, The revised Engineer's estimate far the
E,rczject including construction engineering costs is '~18" OOOa and
WHEREAS, Additional funds a.re available in the Gas ta::
ti'itr7 Fund, and
WHEREAS, The City Cat.tncil has studied this apprapria-
tion and its budget implications:
