AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
APPRAISAL CONSULTANTS CORP.
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of expert appraisal services with regard
to the valuation of certain real properties within the Carteret Landfill Reclamation
Improvement District designated for acquisition by the Borough and, as may be directed
by the Borough Attorney, with regard to other real properties also designated for
acquisition; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody of Appraisal Consultants Corp., 293 Eisenhower Parkway,
I Suite 200, Livingston, NJ 07039 possesses the requisite training, experience and expertise
to provide said professional appraisal services; and
WHEREAS, Jon Brody has proposed to perform the above services at an hourly rate of
$125 per hour; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available I
for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
I l. That Jon Brody of Appraisal Consultants Corp. is hereby retained as a
licensed, professional appraiser in the above referenced matters at an
hourly cost of$125.00 per hour.
2. That this award is made as a professional services contract pursuant to
N.J.S.A 40A:II-5(1)(a).
