A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING
FOR AZONING AMENDMENT FOR A PAD FOR
PINNACLE RIDGE AND CHANGING THE ZONING
FROM R-1 TO R-2 RESIDENTIAL 1
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting of April 8, 2015, the City's Planning and Zoning Commission
did hear and consider the request from Kevin Hochstedler to approve the PAD for Pinnacle Ridge with a
change to the underlying zoning.from R-1 to R-2 Residential for multi -family dwellings, and the motion
to approve did not receive a second and therefore no action was taken nor recommendation made; and,
WHEREAS, irregardless of the lack of recommendation for or against the proposed change the
matter remains for the consideration of the City Council and prior to any changes to the Zoning
regulations of the City of Tiffin, the State Code of Iowa requires there be a public hearing held by the
City Council. ._
NOW; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TIFFIN, IOWA to authorize a public hearing for a request for approval of a PAD and change to the
underlying zoning from R-1 to R-2 multi -family residential to be held at the regular City Council meeting
of May,13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Tiffin City Hall, 300 Railroad Street, Tiffin, Iowa.
On the 22nd day of April, 2015 at the regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Councilperson Bartels
introduced Resolution 2015-054, entitled "A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A
ZONING AMENDMENT FOR -A PAD FOR PINNACLE RIDGE AND CHANGING THE ZONING
FROM R-1 TO R-2 RESIDENTIAL" and made -a motion for approval. Motion seconded by
Councilperson Kahler.
AYE: Peggy Upton, Jim Bartels, Al Havens, Joan Kahler
NAY: NONE
PASSED: YES
ABSENT: Mike Ryan
Whereupon four Council members were present and voted aye and Mayor Berner declared that
Resolution 2015-054, entitled "A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR A ZONING
AMENDMENT FOR A PAD FOR PINNACLE RIDGE AND CHANGING THE ZONING FROM R-1
TO R-2. RESIDENTIAL" to be adopted and signified his approval by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 22nd day of April, 2015.
