ORDINANCE NO. 100g.
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL RELATING TO
DISCRIMINATION
BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Section 3-1 of the City of Jefferson Personnel Policy Manual is hereby
amended to read as follows:
Section 3-1. Equal Employment Opportunity.
It is the intent of the City that all personnel activities shall be conducted in a
manner that will assure equal employment opportunity for all persons, without regard to
political affiliation, race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation,
gender identity, or disability. This policy shall include all personnel practices related to
the employment process, promotions, demotion, transfer, lay-off, termination,
compensation, benefits, training, and general treatment of employees.
Section 2. Section 20-2 of the City of Jefferson Personnel Policy Manual is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 20-2. Discrimination and sexual harassment.
No appointment, promotion, demotion, removal, or advancement in employment
shall be made on the basis of race, religion, creed, national origin, sex, age, sexual
orientation gender identity, or non -disqualifying physical or mental disability.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date
of its passage and approval.
