II RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PERSON- TO-PERSON/PLACE- TO-PLACE
TRANSFER OF A.B.C. LICENSE NO. 1201-33-013-006
I FROM: MARIA'S PORTUGUESE & SPANISH BAR & RESTAURANT, INC.
TO: DA CRICA, LLC.
WHEREAS, application has been made to the Mayor and Council of the Borough 0
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, by Da Chica, LLC. for a Person-to
Person! Place-to-Place Transfer of ABC License #1201-33-013-006 from Maria'
Portuguese & Spanish Bar & Restaurant, Inc. present holder of same, premisés located a
106 Pulaski Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey and said licensee has consented to assign thei
rights to said license to the aforesaid applicant, Da Chica, LLC, located at 124
Roosevelt A venue; and
WHEREAS, according to law, the application for transfer was duly advertised in th
Home News Tribune, a newspaper circulated in the Borough of Carteret and n
objections, either verbally or in writing, were filed or made to the Governing Body or t
the Municipal Clerk regarding said transfer; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has disclosed and the local authority has reviewed the sourc
of all funds used in the purchase of said license and the licensed business and al
additional financing obtained in connection with the licensed business; and
WHEREAS, the application form is complete in all respects and the applicant i
qualified to be licensed according to all standards established by Title 33 of the Ne
Jersey Statutes, promulgated thereunder, as well as pertinent local ordinances an
conditions consistent with Title 33.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Mayor an
Council of the Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, that AB
License #1201-33-013-006, heretofore granted to Maria's Portuguese & Spanish Bar
Restaurant, be and the same is hereby transferred to the applicant, Da Chica, LLC, 1241
Roosevelt Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey to sell alcoholic beverages in conformity wit
the laws, statutes, rules and regulations of the State of New Jersey and with th
resolutions, ordinances, rules and regulations of the Borough of Carteret relating to an
concerning said license and to be held by them until said license expires, unless so one
revoked.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized an
directed to execute the endorsement of this Person-to-Person! Place-to-Place Transfer on
I behalf ofthe Mayor and Council of the Borough ofCarteret; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that two (2) certified copies of this Resolution be sent
forthwith to the State of New Jersey, Department of Law & Public Safety, Division 0
Alcoholic Beverage Control, Licensing Bureau, CN 087, Trenton, New Jersey 08625-
0087.
